Unfortunately most of the Bush is blocked off due to Kauri DieBack - however is still a really good walk between beach haven road, Lauderdale road, and the bottom of eskdale road. N.b. if you exit onto beach haven road - walk north along Kaipatiki Road and you can walk into Kaipatiki Bush which also really beautiful and is not closed off for Kauri DieBack.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's an awesome walk, good for kids. The path is tidy and generally in a good condition. Needs more signage though where the path forks - which way to which road.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As a kid i used to play and swim here. The area has a lagoon with a natural water slide to slide down. It has a rope swing to swing into the water, and tables to have a picnic. A nise grassy area for a game of cricket or rugby, and a walking track that leads off into Eskdale bush. No playground equipment, but who needs it with all this natural playground.
