★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a lovely lunch at Lemon Grass Thai restaurant. I mentioned that it was my husband's 60th birthday and when we ordered dessert, it took ages to arrive - they created something special for him and it was well worth waiting for! We will definitely be back. :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Slow service with big waiting times between dishes. No drink requests taken at all. A bit disappointing after all the great reviews and the bill which was twice the price we usually get when we eat out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very disappointed after visiting them and all the positive reviews. Not sure if they had a bad evening, but the food was really not good. Tasteless and no depth. Very expensive compared to what we can get in Rangiora itself. Even the steak we ordered rare came over done and rubbery as if it was put frozen into the microwave.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was excellent. The grounds and restaurant area was very nice. However we were there on a Friday evening and the only ones dining. The main entrance ( from the road ) had a closed sign as booking ahead was essential. Not sure why this quaint wee place would be empty on a Friday. The service was very pleasant. The wait staff attire was not inkeeping with the look and feel of the place ( sports shorts and sneakers), having said that she was very friendly and helpful. All in all, a nice experience. Will be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An absolutely stunning family run business. Food was fantastic, as was the service and all set within a beautiful orchard. You must book in advance as this is a family run business and the gate always says closed... but that is the secret of how good Lemongrass is!
