★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stupid "smart key" system. Can't get the keys at the laundromat itself - you have to drive 5 to 10 minutes to get one if its after hours.
Agree with some above comments that in a tourist town like this its a bit of a racket.
However machines are mostly modern and the place is clean and new, so I guess there's that.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have used these liquid laundries as we have travelled throughout NZ. This would be the worst experience so far. It was far too small for the amount of people wanting to use the facilities given its a tourist destination. This was further impacted by one woman doing a huge commercial wash who took over the entire small space for folding for well over one hour. A number of users were annoyed with her lack of consideration, I asked her to please clear a space for other users. Won’t be back here

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Spotless and the "smart key" is available two shops around the corner. Very well lit. Machines work well. $4 to wash an 8kg load and $3 to dry the load. Will be back. You do need to come to load your key during pharmacy hours (8am to 6pm) but the laundry is open 7am to 10pm. Would be better if they directly took cards which wouldn't be hard.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really useful for travellers and locals alike! The key card system is quite smart, though I think only having two places, with only one close by, that you can add credit to them is stupid. I understand the security risk with having a machine filled with money inside the, unattended, laundromat but having a similar machine in the Countdown store, which is open until 10pm, would be super handy, more secure that a stand alone machine in the laundromat and more convenient for people who don't want to wait for people to buy face cream before they can add credit in the local pharmacy. Machines work very well anyway, and the dryers are pretty quick

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Usually these laundromats are excellent but recently this one is not being looked after very well. Some of the machines are out of order, the floors and machines are dirty and it was just a poor experience. A little bit of care and this place will be just as good as they usually are.
