Our Philosophy
Our Centre philosophy focuses around the belief that children learn about the world around them by being hands on investigators.
All children are unique and grow and develop at their own pace. At Little Explorers Early Learning Centre, there is a fundamental respect for all children, allowing this process to happen organically. We provide an environment where all children can develop and learn at their own pace.
Teachers have a responsibility to facilitate the learning environment to encourage exploration and inquiry. This includes allowing children the opportunity to challenge themselves and investigate things that interest them. Purposefully thought out environments stimulate creative thinking and imagination, enabling children to work individually, in small groups and within larger social gatherings. Children are given opportunities to acquire new knowledge, abilities and skills through varied learning opportunities and experiences.
We acknowledge the importance of whΔnau, and feel that genuine relationships form the basis of great learning communities. By building positive, responsive and reciprocal relationships with our children and their whΔnau, we enable them to contribute to their own learning.
At Little Explorers Early Learning Centre we believe that supporting children to become actively engaged in their environment ensures their readiness as confident and competent learners ready for wherever life leads them.

β β β β β An amazing day care, excellent caring teachers, plenty of resources. The play area for both sides are beyond great offering lots of self learning & discovery. Meals provided are very healthy & of generous quantities. Couldnβt recommend any higher.

β β β β β Little Explorers is an amazing centre located just out of Hamilton. The staff are all wonderful and made my daughter feel at home. They always let me know what she had been up to and how her day had gone. The building is full of character and outdoor spaces are huge. I highly recommend this place for your little ones.

β β β β β We started our son here at about 18months as I had to start working part time and they have been wonderful. I was nervous about putting him into daycare as he was still so young but he has really enjoyed his time at little explorers. He now happily goes off to play as soon as we arrive and loves to so things with his teachers. When he first started he did shed some tears when I left, but the teachers were excellent with giving comfort to him by way of snuggles and his favourite toys and me in the form of pictures to show he was fine. Would highly recommend little explorers for anyone looking for a daycare for their little ones.
