★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stopped here to have a quick picnic breakfast on our way through to Wellington. Great number of picnic tables, bin provided. Nice outlook to farmland and then ranges.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After WWII over 700 Polish orphans that were held in Soviet Siberia were told to leave. They ended their trek in what is now Iran. A humanitarian effort brought the orphans here. This monument is in their honor. Read more from the associated website.
