Connecting Children with Nature
The natural world is a giant, open-ended learning laboratory. Children are innate scientists and love to experience the sights, scents, sounds, and textures of the outdoors.
Whether it’s growing vegetables, creating a masterpiece with dirt, twigs and sand, watching worms wriggle through the soil, gazing at clouds, jumping in puddles, listening to birds sing, smelling fresh-cut grass and collecting seeds – any outdoor learning experience is always a positive one!
We are proud to offer all of the above opportunities through our very own natural outdoor environment right here at our Centre – some KEY benefits to spending time outside include: Increasing involvement in physical activity, enhancing cognitive abilities, creativity and imaginative play. It also supports problem solving, improves self confidence, promotes advanced motor development including fitness, co-ordination and agility.
