Not a good place, pokey, horrible with dirty communal toilets and showers. We slept in our sleeping bags as the place felt so dirty. The whiskey certainly helped us sleep too !!! Fuse board was only seen in the morning !!!! Eeeeek.....
Seriously !! Good luck if you stay.....
We stayed our second night at the Kelvin Hotel for the same money with ensuit.
Have no idea how this place gets its reviews, I was certainly mislead

β β β β β Very nice host and good breakie. Lovely dog. Overall a very nice place however the room we stay just next to the bathroom so we can hear the noise very bad. But we just stay one night so doesnβt matter.

β β β β β Excellent. Variety of lovely rooms. Comfortable beds. Ideal for groups particularly who want to stay together for weddings or events here in Invercargill. Great rates. Go online and see. Booking is easy.

β β β β β Things I enjoyed: most affordable place in Invercargill I could book same day, warm reception, included breakfast, and bed warmer. Things that could have been better: more outlets in my single room (splinters or a power strip would have made charging electronics easier), wifi that reached my room instead of only the common area that had others watching TV, and locks that were less sticky when trying to open doors.

β β β β β Perfect house for our large group and with radiators throughout the house, it was really warm and comfortable for our mid-winter stay. The host, Carol, was awesome to deal with and made every effort to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.
