★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Martinborough is a perfect gateway from busy Wellington city life. If you love wine then you are at the right place. If you aren’t there’s plenty of things that you can do as well. Visit museum, go for a cycling or a tour in vineyard there’s no harm in visiting vineyard if you don’t drink or don’t prefer wine.
isite building has a library and a nice cafe so you can spend an hour or two reading books, making plans over a cup of coffee.
The drive from Wellington to Martinborough goes via Featherstone which is the first city that you come across in Wairarapa region. It’s a perfect serpentine drive once you cross Upper Hutt valley via Rimutaka range.
