About Matua Village
Matua Retirement Village began over 30 years ago on a ten-acre site situated in Matua, a very quiet suburb in Tauranga. A New Zealand Company privately owns Matua Village and has developed the retirement village complex over the years. The village has its own central communal building with lounges, dining room and an indoor bowls room.
A short walk from Matua Village is Fergusson Park and the beautiful Tauranga Harbour waterfront. Also, nearby is access to the peaceful board-walks leading through the Matua Salt Marsh Reserve and around the harbours edge. Cherrywood Shopping Centre is just down the road with a great choice of shops, a cafe, a restaurant and a supermarket. The Tauranga CBD is only 5km away. At Matua Retirement Village, we recognise that all individuals are different with varying needs from one person to another.
