Kihikihi Speedway Club was established in 1954 when permission was granted to build a basic race track on the Kihikihi Domain. The club is still at that original location, having upgraded the venue for the benefit of spectators and competitors
In the early years the club focused on the open wheel and bike classes. The concrete wall was built in the early 90’s and a wider range of speedway classes were added to the schedule. Today Kihikihi Speedway contracts Saloons, Super Saloons, Superstocks, Stockcars, Youth Ministocks, Midgets, 1/4 Midgets, Sprintcars & Sidecars
Kihikihi raced predominately on Sunday afternoons until the installation of track lights in 2014, allowing the club to race on Saturday evenings. This ultimately meant the club could run bigger and better family friendly events

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome opening night, really good they remind guests of smoke free policy though the night, great racing of all classes and what a cracker of a fireworks display, the grounds are really tidy. First time for us and we will be back, price was great for family. Glad we had our dinner with us as food truck line was really long all night in opening night.
