★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Track well maintained, a few steps to get up but easy enough going with beautiful birdsong accompanying us. Some lovely smaller falls to see along the way. Didn't climb to top of thefalls but my son did. I climbed up the rocks to the base of the main waterfall which was definitely worth it. The falls are amazing. Put it on your to do list if you are in the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow words can't express the beauty of these falls. Yet again my partner got me out of my comfort zone and we climbed to the top waterfall but it was well worth the little fear. The bush walk is beautiful and the smell divine - real NZ nature smell. Natural and untouched. Definitely worth the visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gorgeous!! Fabulous walk to the falls with great native bush and some incredible trees. Lots of bird song and then …. The fabulous waterfalls! They are so aesthetically formed and sounded beautiful. Such a stunning and peaceful setting. One of the nicest waterfalls I’ve come across in NZ.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was a unplanned trip after calling into the Whistling Frog and was told there to go another 3km to the McLean Falls it was well worth it . Once there 40minutes walk RETURN . Clean toilets and plenty of room for motorhomes to park and turn around .
