About Megisti Sailing Charters: Luxury Catamaran Charter
Megisti can say yes to your event, from a short one hour cruise to overnight breakfast-and-sail cruises. Anything goes.
What about an impromptu after-work sail? Feel the breeze in your hair on a 90-minute sail, with no diesel engine thumping away. Tea, coffee are included. Give us a call – if Megisti is not already booked then only 90 minutes’ notice is needed. Minimum numbers required or you can just pay the money (from $862.50 incl gst) and have the boat to yourself. The fully licensed bar is open for beer, wine and mixers, with cash, eftpos and credit cards welcome.

β β β β β This is a belated post sorry. We had a fantastic day with Tim and crew. We were a work function of approx 20 people. We were greeted by their stunning grinning dalmatian dog when we boarded. Excellent cuddles with the pup were very much enjoyed.
Sailed out to Matui / Somes Island on a gorgeously hot sunny day. Bare feet dangling in the sparkling water off the back of the boat sipping a chilled glass of pinot gris. We brought our own nibbles and drinks on board but Tim also put on a lovely spread for us.
We anchored in a sheltered clear blue water bay off Somes where we broke out the kayaks while the bbq was prepared for us. Sunbathed on the prow of the boat. Relaxed with mates. Imbibed some Fanta.
Enjoyed it so much I booked a subsequent trip just for friends, which also went extremely well. We will definitely book more trips in the future. Cheers for the excellent experience to Tim and your fine crew.

β β β β β I contacted tim to plan a birthday party on his boat. He was very responsive to emails and flexible when it came to rescheduling due to bad weather. When we finally went out our group had a fantastic time for the 3 hour trip. We sailed over to somes island where it was less windy and anchored down to swim, kayak and paddleboard. It was overall an unforgettable experience and we all wondered why we didn't do it sooner! The website could be more user friendly but contacting via email was easy enough. Thanks again, tim!

β β β β β Fantastic wee boat and great staff. We really enjoyed it. Highly recommended if you've an hour or so to kill in Wellington. Beautiful dog on board too and lovely views of Wellington harbour .

β β β β β We took the couples overnight sail for our first wedding anniversary and it was magical. We set sail on a calm sunny evening and ate a lovely dinner with drinks moored at Somes Island. We went for a sunset stand-up paddle-board around the bay and watched the fishes off the back of the boat by the underwater lights when it got dark. Before bed we lay on the deck and watched the stars. In the morning it was chilly before the sun came up so we had hot croissants and coffee as the sky lightened over the harbour. In all it was a great experience that we'd love to do again.
