I am Mikayla Whitelegg - A Certified Public Accountant.
I own Mikayla Fay Ltd, which trades as MFConsulting, in which I am an accountant for over 10 small businesses throughout New Zealand, as well as businesses I also look after Family Trusts and Personal Tax & Income.
I also co-own CM Rental Audits - A Healthy Homes Inspection company.
I love being an accountant, primarily because it is a job in which involves lots of problem solving, critical thinking and analysing.
With an optimistic outlook on life & a high level of organisational and time management skills with a mind for business and a heart of an entrepreneur I find it mentally satisfying to be able to see progress for not only my own businesses but my clients businesses over the course of one’s day, week, month and years.
I am a young mother of two very active pre teen boys, for the most part of their life I was a single Mum, juggling work, my accounting diploma & Mum duties.
I grew up quickly, developed extreme organisational & time management skills as well as being able to keep calm, collected & focused in busy stressful times - with a tiny bit of OCD for things being clean, tidy & in the correct place in all areas of my life.
I am ethical, detail-oriented and results driven which enables me to easily develop trust and rapport with my clients. I enjoy strategic planning processes and making the most of modern day technology to help people & businesses work smarter not harder.
Unlike large corporate accounting firms, I take the time to get to know my clients and their business. I am fully involved and invested in working with them to achieve their goals and support their success.
