Mike has worked as a mortgage specialist for 17 years and has built strong relationships with each of the major banks in New Zealand. He’s passionate about finding the right loan product for each of his clients.
Mike knows what it is like to buy a home for the first time, and to grow your wealth through property investment. Mike owns 7 properties and has lending with a range of banks. He walks the walk and knows the ins and outs of mortgage lending.
Mike comes from a competitive sporting background, getting up everyday at 5:15 since he was twelve, training as a cox in the sport of rowing.
Mike has won over 20 NZ rowing titles and 60 North Island titles. He also represented NZ at many world championships and won a silver medal at the 1995 world rowing championships.
Mike puts 100% effort into getting your loan approved and takes pride in making the whole experience painless and easy to understand.

Mike ran through our data and suggested the range that we could achieve and we started our search for a house based on that. He got us approved in no time once we provided the documents he asked for. Mike helped us in getting a nice rate from the bank and also helped us in organising the loan structure. A real estate agent once told us during our home hunt that if the sale and purchase agreement has 10 days to meet financials, the right mortgage advisor should be someone who will get your financials sorted within 5 days. I was able to obtain an excellent new build interest rate, with a less than 48 hour turnaround when Mike advised of a better rate with a different bank. Finally I was also concerned about the new CCCFA rules and how they could affect me, however Mike was able to provide solid advice on how to avoid any pitfalls with the rules. Overall, I'm a very satisfied customer and appreciated the helpful advice over the months while my home was getting built through to settlement.
