★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Milton St Substation was the venue for our wedding and I couldn't recommend it more. It is such an amazing space, different to other wedding venues and suited our preference for a less traditional wedding perfectly. We also had such lovely feedback from our guests about the venue. Alex the venue manager was a pleasure to work with from start to finish, I absolutely couldn't fault anything :)

Alex made sure everything was under control at all times and offered fabulous advice along the way. So many options and great spaces to use. Highly recommend this venue. I will be ensuring everyone I know looks at this venue when planning a function or event.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My Wife and I recently had the pleasure of getting married here and wow, it was perfect! Firstly, the three differently defined areas/layout was perfect for our wedding. The upstairs area is a great size for a ceremony with amazing views. And the downstairs part is ideal for a reception with a beautiful and large entranceway and soundproofing. There's also a deck off the upstairs part with beautiful views and a downstairs outdoor patio, perfect for socialising and having food trucks! The venue is also affordable with a BYO option and also comes with Alex! the super helpful/approachable/friendly venue manager who looked after us so well and helped us with ensuring things ran smoothly - we cannot thank him enough :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This venue was amazing, open warehouse but a great ambiance and atmosphere. Pretty cool for Christchurch. The lounge bar, Brick Lane London kind of feel. The acts were pretty good too. Amazing woodfried pizza topped with a nice glass of red wine. Plus the guy running the place was friendly and an amazing host

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We immediately fell in love with the substation for our wedding. It’s the perfect multi-purpose indoor space with that industrial feel we wanted. It was a great bonus to be able to choose all our own vendors and really make the space ours. Alex is the most incredible venue manager and made our day run smoothly. His communication is impeccable and he was so amazing jumping in to help wherever he could! Love how beautiful this space is on its own and the location is so handy to the city. So many options for such a wonderful venue!

We cannot thank the venue and the venue manager Alex enough for the impeccable service making it a fantastic night. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Daniel & I had our wedding (ceremony & reception) at Milton St Substation and LOVED every aspect of the venue - including the amazing venue manager, Alex, who constantly went above & beyond to make sure our day was perfect. We picked Milton Street for its convenience to town, and the unique industrial vibe, and we’re so stoked with our decision. From the cool interior spaces to the spacious courtyard, and sunny balcony - its perfect for any event! I would 100% recommend Milton Street to anyone wanting to host an event - Alex is your man!
