Fantastic views and great way to orientate yourself to where places are in relation to each other. Steep road to top and need mountain bike gears to get up without stopping.

Amazing view and dunedin has a lot of lookout points. Can drive right up to summit. Shingle road potholes in places.

My all time favorite walk is Mt. Cargill. You can start from Bethune's Gully or from Organ Pipes. Or ride a car from Pine Hill if you're lazy to walk/run. ☺️

Great views, great track. Keep in mind this is a mountain track, with uneven surfaces, slippery rock crossings and very changeable weather! But stunning :)

Excellent views of Dunedin. Google Maps stops early and tells you to walk the rest of the way, but you can actually keep driving to the lookout point. So don't turn back! It's pretty dangerous place when it is windy. Be careful of ice falling from above the transmission tower!!

Fantastic views South to Dunedin, and north up the coast, and inland to the remaining peaks. Apparently very few people make their way up here, perhaps because a lot of students don't have cars, but the view really is worth the short trip up the hill, as long as the weather is good.

Incredible view in all directions. Make sure it isn't shrouded in cloud before you go so you're not disappointed. There are no toilets up there. As of writing this there are also terrible potholes and a poor road in general on the way up, so boy racers would be advised to avoid it.

On your doorstep Dunedinites! If you've never walked up here, get into it. Exotic forest at the bottom turns into bird infested native cloud forest and highland scrub further up. A real treat
