★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great panoramic views from the top. The climb up is a bit steep but nothing crazy. The loop does continue to the original car park. It passes puzzle world and there is a car parking lot there but that is not the full loop. Trust the trail and you'll end up where you started.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you do the trail, be careful! Even though it says it's a loop trail, if you do that, you will end up 750 meters from where you parked, next to Puzzle World. The views on the way are beautiful but nothing crazy considering you get amazing views from different lookouts in the surroundings. It takes from 45 minutes to an hour to get up there, depending on your level of fitness. It's quite steep so take your time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a moderately steep hike that gives you some nice views of the town of Wanaka. The first part goes through pastures and farms so you see tons of rabbits and have to watch out for droppings and such. You get good views basically the whole way up then a nice 360 view from the summit. A good practice hike for taking on Roy's Peak.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We took longer than usual to complete the trail but it was well worth the time and effort. The scenery of the whole journey just breathtaking, we can't help to stop every now and then for photos. Some parts are steep, but overall it is pretty well maintained. There's toilet facilities at the trail head. This is a popular trail for the locals, so it could be a bit busy in the morning.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you do not have much time in Wanaka, this is a walk that you must do. It is just outside the town centre and it only takes about 1.5 hour. However, if you love photography, you will need to allow about 2 hours. The walk is rated moderate as some part can be a little steep. The views at the top and along the way, however, are worth the effort.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ a lovely hike up Mount Irons, with some steep sections along the way. The 360 degrees view of Wanaka on top of the hill makes the ascent worth it. I will try to run up the hill the next time I am here in Wanaka.

You will get a great view to Wanka and the wide areas in every direction.
A must do for locals and visitors.
If you are lucky you can see the southern lights aurora australis
