★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a beautiful night here! The building looks beautiful, nice decorated and style. The staff was the best part of the night, even we had to wait for food for quite some time they apologize and after that dishes came out on perfect time. The manager also made it up to us with a few extra drinks! Would definitely go back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty disappointing experience. A friend and I went along for drinks on Friday at 6pm and to check this place out.
We waited 20 minutes before having to flag down a waiter to come and take our drinks order. We ordered the same drink + a bowl of fries. I could tell the waiter wasn't really paying much attention and sure enough, he was back 5 minutes later to confirm what we wanted. Not a great start.
I also wasn't a fan of people being able to smoke so just be aware of this when you go.
My biggest issue with the place was their irresponsible hosting and continuing to serve people who'd clearly had enough.
My friend and I sat waiting 20 minutes for drinks yet we watched this other table just get a constant supply of beer/cocktails and shots. They continued to get drunker and drunker while we were wondering if we were actually going to get served. We were so tempted to just time and see how long it would take...
2 of this party were a mess - 1 was asleep at the table and 1 couldn't stand up straight, was falling to the ground - this is in between him moving between tables and just being a general nuisance.
Security came and moved on some of the group but it wasn't until my friend spoke to security that they actually kicked out the trouble makers.
Surely the bar has a responsibility to ensure the comfort of all patrons and at what point do you pull the pin and stop serving incredibly intoxicated people?
I think Mr Brightside has the potential to be something awesome - they just need to stop resting on the fact that its a roof terrace and ensure their service is attentive and prompt. We were there 2 hours - had 2 drinks each and a bowl of chips to share but probably could have spent more money if they'd been a bit more attentive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I wish we had bars like mr Brightside in Auckland, this epic rooftop bar had a great atmosphere and really good food options (we had the cauliflower taco), but the player of the day award goes to the espresso martini which was amongst the best I’ve had. Go and check this place out next time you’re nearby.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great atmosphere and awesome venue, food was okay and tasted good but nothing to rave about, some plates were small portions others were fine. Staff were a little slow on the service but friendly and meals took quite a while to come out. Overall okay experience probably would go back for drinks and nibbles only.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful bar, with great views. Cocktails were delicious and well described on the menus! Really friendly chilled staff, and a fantastic atmosphere. Not too noisy. The security guard at the was really cool to talk to. Highly recommend this place. Christchurch is very lucky to have it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came to this bar on valentines evening for a double date night. Good view and chill vibe especially when it comes to sunset moment. Quite like the soft crab mini burgers. Even though that my friend warned me their dishes can be quite savory, I was still quite surprised by the salty taste of broccoli. Don’t know if chef do so to encourage us drink more while and after dinner ?. Dishes all served in same plates but are displayed at a high standard comparing with bar food at other places. Great servicing team with enthusiasm.
