★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I simply loved this bookshop. In fact I went in twice while I was visiting for the week and bought several beautiful books and stationary items each time. Independent bookshops are always better than the box stores and this is no exception. The jigsaw puzzles with local images portrayed in Art Deco style were fabulous. Such a wonderful way to publicise a little town. The gentleman behind the counter was so helpful. Definitely a must do if you are in Greytown. P.S. the roaring log fire was an added bonus!

Everything was so beautifully wrapped and presented. The quality of the items absolutely overwhelmed my expectations. The puzzle will be a cherished addition and the notebooks are divine. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love this shop and the wonderful staff with in it. Beautiful items which make exquisite gifts (or treats for yourself) all backed up by top notch service which is second to none. Millie helped me out when I needed a gift at short notice for my nephew and it was a breeze to order online and then dispatched in record time. Absolutely love the sock monkeys (shown below) which are beautifully hand made and bespoke, and better yet they support a good cause (100% of the proceeds from these monkeys go towards community projects in Greytown). Cannot recommend the Village Bookshop higher. you won't be dissapointed

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is my second order from Mrs Blackwells Village Bookshop - both orders were made up of puzzles, notebooks and other stationery - online ordering was simple and quick delivery to Auckland. The items were beautifully presented, which made the unwrapping feel really special. I'm puzzle and notebook mad, and they have a great selection of both. The Blackwell Press puzzles are excellent quality, and Field Notes are my favourite! I'm very happy with my orders. Definitely on my bucket list to visit soon.
