About Naturally Native NZ Plants
Naturally Native’s story begins in 1980, when a local Tauranga teacher decided to make a radical career change and set up a nursery in Oropi, Tauranga. Since then Naturally Native has a new captain at the helm, Les Anstis. Les moved to New Zealand from Australia when he was just a young buck, we don’t hold this against him as he now considers himself kiwi through and through. He has an extensive background in agriculture and always enjoyed getting his hands dirty. When the opportunity to take on Naturally Native arose, Les couldn’t think of a better fit.
Naturally Native has a fabulous team of experts that grow over 500 native species and cultivars. These plants are supplied in large volumes into the retail, commercial and contract markets.
