★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One staff member was incredibly horrible to me and my mother. If you don’t support people or business’s who discriminate don’t go here. We walked in not wearing a mask as we have mask exemptions from the MOH, the older guy there with grey hair was trying to force a mask on us, now he doesn’t know our medical history. Legally you have to accept someone who can’t wear a mask due to health reasons. I am highly discussed. His attitude was horrible. So we left and went to another music shop in nelson which we spent $500 in so you’ve lost $500 for your discrimination over a medical mask exemption. Worst experience ever.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had such a bad experience!! Our family got ordered out because my sister have a medical exemption! Well, Rockshop you lost $1700 from us. We will not be going there, even if the mandates are over.
We bought most of our instruments at Rockshop, I so wished that we didn't give our business there before. If you have a medical exemption and you're ordered out, I suggest you go to Beggs music shop. Better yet, don'tgo to Rock shop, full stop! Beggs, you are our music shop preference from now on, what an amazing service and very respectful staff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would rate this a zero star but unfortunately I can only rate this a 1 star. I have a face mask exemption so obviously I entered without a face mask, a guy told me where my face mask was. I told him I had an exemption, but yet he wouldn't accept it, I'm looking to upgrade my electric drumset to a more professional set, which costs $2000 and up. If they're turning people away just because they aren't wearing a mask instead of a more serious "offence" means they don't need your money so don't go to this shop!
I then went to Beggs music shop, and to my discovery they have great service, mask or no mask! Looks like I'm going to spend my money there!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went in to buy a electric guitar and amp with a budget of $2500. Got abruptly told “mask on!” No problem and genuinely forgot. Stared at the guitars I wanted to try and walked the guitars up and down for 20 mins plenty of free staff but no one asked if I was ok. This is very typical of rock shop staff. Well the shops I have visited. More interested in talking amoungst themselves…
To be fair music shops get a lot of window shoppers killing time and just marvelling at the equipment.. but hey if ya don’t approach everyone as a potential sale then ya probably gonna miss out.. in this car they have…

Staff & service: very knowledgeable staff who are friendly and helpful
Pricing: Great pricing
Location: Easy to find and plenty of parking nearby
Stock: lots of awesome products
My experience: stellar experience. These guys are very good at their jobs and treat you with respect. Get to know them and they'll always be open for a good chat.
Recommend: the best option for musical supplies for the top of the south.
