β β β β β I have been an NZMCA member for 4 years. I am letting my membership lapse though because of the narrow-minded discrimination that has occurred recently where people like myself who chose not to undergo a medical procedure have been banned from the parks. In these parks we were always required to park 3 metres away from each other, be self contained and happy hour wasn't compulsory. So there was no need to ban unjabbed people when you could have said no happy hours please. People would have respected that. But just like many other former members, you have now lost my respect. Thank you for the opportunity to be part of a moho and caravan community which has been helpful to me over the years, but it's now time to move on and support the groups who like to think for themselves and who support ALL of their members.

β β β β β A few months back, I was so proud of this Organisation that I gave them an extremely high rating in their survey that was put out. After the recent discrimination shown against what I suspect is a fair chunk of their members, I now wished I hadn't as it shows this Committee is not worthy of that rating. I spent the time and wrote to the President pointing out their very bad decision and the Human Rights Laws they had broken, and that got nowhere.
I laid a complaint with the Human Rights Commission only to find they had been overwhelmed with Covid related complaints and couldn't keep up! I guess in time, they will catch up, but in the meantime I hope this President and biased uninformed Committee will come to their senses and start treating all their members with the respect they deserve... and then maybe we can all return to being an Association we can all feel proud of.
I wonder how many of the members who physically helped build these parks have been affected... they must be gutted!

β β β β β I am beyond disgusted that this club that I have enjoyed over the years would separate its members like this. In our family unit some are vaccinated and some are not, but now we can no longer holiday together as we use to because of the decision of a small group of board members making a decision for thousands of its members have made. Shame on you NZMCA

β β β β β Who gave the group the power without justification to make a decision to ban non vaccinated, what about a test a few days before. Seems like this group has fallen under the wing of the Labour party. Looks like this is the end of the Association as we knew it with so many leaving and so few and the Associations parks around the country.

β β β β β We have been a longtime member of this club (almost 30 years!) and enjoyed the many benefits and connections it used to provide. The club's weak leadership team recently chose the 'easy' path, following government propaganda and discriminate, and without any consultation with its members. We have now joined a truly inclusive alternative organisation.

β β β β β Their choice to go mandate only was poorly thought through, reflected only the response from a very small proportion of members, and ignored the science.
Typical of a bunch of staid old f@rts with zero awareness of the heavy responsibilities they carry. They deserved to lose over a third of membership.

β β β β β I would just like to say what a lovely man Michael Jenkins is.
I went to him today (Sunday, when he could have gone fishing) for an electrical certificate for my motorhome.
Not only did he test the electrical supply but fixed my wonky diesel hose and a light fitting inside (at no extra cost).
He was very friendly and nothing was a problem.
Highly recommend. ***

β β β β β My family and I have been members of this Association since 2010 and have gradually watched it devolve into a politically driven, non inclusive, discriminatory, authoritarian Club which we are ashamed to identify with and will no longer be renewing our membership. We have always traveled as a family and as my teenage son developed myocarditis after having his first vaccination to attend University and is not prepared to risk an alternative vaccine for a second one we have been excluded from staying in the parks we have helped fund over 12 years. Thankfully we have joined an alternative group and made new friends and discovered new venues and spots which have been welcoming, caring and understanding - the exact opposite of this crowd.
