★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have a lot good memories going to Newtown park, I as young boy used to play for Wellington United. So I got to be a ball boy for Wellington United home games at Newtown park this is back when we would get over 1000 people at local football game. I’m talking about early 90s when winfield cigarette could invest in New Zealand football but then New Zealand government stop that from happening. But anyways Newtown park is a great park for football . Hopefully Wellington United can get back in the central league.
