β β β β β Popped in for a takeaway coffee and scone while visiting the Caitlin's. Wish we hadn't already had breakfast. Menu looked yum.
Recommend a visit if you're passing, great service and really good coffee!

β β β β β We were delighted to find a nice warm cafe in Niagara Falls. What a disappointment! We both ordered the fish and chips (over $27 each). The fish had been frozen and had an unpleasant solid texture. It is better to not have something on a menu than serve a dish like this if you canβt easily get fresh fish.

β β β β β If you're going past, you may as well stop. This place is an oasis in a desert. The hot chips are also some of the best I've ever tasted. When we were there the main server was super friendly and our food was nice. Whoever maintains the gardens does a fantastic job and it's a really beautiful outdoor spot for somewhere to eat (they have indoor too - the gardens are just nice to be in).

β β β β β A great wee local cafe in the Catlins. Chowder and burger were delicious and the coffee was good. Locals are friendly and happy for a chat. Interior was quirky (we sat in the conservatory) but interesting to look at

β β β β β The perfect place to eat on a drive through the Catlins! Great food, huge portions, an wonderful restaurant philosophy, and an absolutely beautiful space. There's a garden out back, and even picnic tables in the yard so you can enjoy an outdoor meal if the weather is nice enough!
My husband and I agreed that the mocha we had here were the best of our multi-week trip around the South Island. The fish & chips was tasty, and huge - we could easily have split one order! They also have a nice little gift shop area with things that you probably haven't seen a million times elsewhere.
Highly recommended!
