About Nic de Mey Yachts
Formed in 1994, Nic de Mey Yachts started out building carbon prepreg rowing skiffs, ski race boats, weapon systems for the Australian Navy and superyacht components such as carbon booms, boarding and swim ladders.
Our first custom yacht build was a sailing cat called Silver Raider built in 1995, which dominated the Auckland multihull scene for many years. From there it was an upward progression into larger and more complex vessels all utilizing advanced composite construction. Our largest project to date is U21, a 21mtr foiling catamaran for renown NZ businessman Graeme Hart.
Over the company’s 25-year history, Nic de Mey Yachts has become one of New Zealand’s premium boat building companies. With a committed team of passionate boat builders and top-quality facilities in his Tauranga-based workshop, Nic de Mey builds world-class boats for clients across the World.
