★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Service was great- friendly and efficient, however our experience was highly disappointing due to the salt levels on our chips which rendered them inedible. Usually wouldnt be too big an issue but considering the price we were expecting better.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A café that cares for the community as well as its customers. Great coffee and great food - ordered a flat white and the tomato and avocado bruschetta; yum! But the thing that impressed me (and is the reason for my five stars) was how one of the young staff members helped an elderly person to their transport out on the street by holding their arm and gently walking them out. If people looked after one another with the same care this young lady showed this older man, the world would be a better place. I talked to one of the owners before leaving (I believe his name was Ben) and commended him on this staff member. I will certainly return.

Muffins and scones to die for.
But most important the staff are so friendly.
I would recommend Niche to everyone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the noisiest cafes I’ve been in. Needs baffles over the kitchen area. Lovely avocado bruschetta but like many offerings the bread required a saw. Good coffee.? Toilet clean, but no means for disposal of feminine products. Wasn’t asked for vaccine pass.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Popped in for a Monday brunch a couple of weeks ago, with my parents who I'm trying to convince to move to Sumner from the North Island. Niche on its own was just about enough to sell them - during our visit we interacted with three different staff members, all of whom were chatty, professional and attentive. The food was great and coffee was good enough to need a second round by the time our meals arrived - high praise from a couple of Wellington coffee snobs. We'll be back ASAP, hopefully with a couple of new regulars!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My partner and I had coffee here yesterday and it was such a fantastic community vibe. It was really hot outside so it was great to sit inside to cool down and the iced lattes were great. We were so impressed by the waitress who helped an elderly customer out of the cafe by holding his arm and leading him outside to his bike. She was so patient and lovely to him and we wanted to give her a shout out too. 5/5 service and atmosphere.
