100% will be stopping here again!! Fish and chips perfect. Fish(Rig) very fresh. Mussel meals look awesome so I think this will be my go to on the next stop. See you again in a few weeks!!

This place is known as a ‘must stop’ for kiwis, and we were excited to finally be stopping here. The food was tasty, but older guy who served us was quite rude. We thought that perhaps he was a bit ‘quirky’ but after reading other reviews we see that we are not the only people to have a ‘run in’ with him. He wanted to know that we weren’t from the North Island and he wanted to know why we didn’t buy a crayfish and if it was because we ‘couldn’t afford it’ (I don’t eat crayfish and my partner was told you could order crayfish portions, hence us not wanting a whole crayfish). His attitude caught us off guard, and we didn’t quite know what to make of it. Sounds like several people have had poor interactions with this staff member, but nothing seems to be done. If we had read the reviews prior to coming, we wouldn’t have stopped here and supported this business.

Greeted by a very friendly lady and her granddaughter. Crayfish dish was excellent and the crispy chips. This is one of those must visit places where you can sit on the rustic picnic tables looking out to sea, cracking crayfish in the sun. Watch out for the seagulls ready to grab the leftovers.

Wonderful place. So nice to get fresh crayfish on the coast, warmed with garlic butter. :)

Can’t speak highly enough of this little business. My and I Dad drove from Blenheim yesterday and it was our first day off in ages as we full time care for our sick Mum. The guy working (originally from Christchurch) was slammed with a queue out the door, but he kept his cool and went out of his way and even gave Dad (a pensioner) some extra chips. It made our day. Dad said it was the best fish and chips he’d had in many years! I know a lot of kiwi businesses have had a hard time over Covid and as a fellow business owner I really applaud these guys for keeping it real and working so hard. That’s the kiwi spirit! Nins Bin is without a doubt a National Treasure. Keep up the good work

Great heritage Crayfish place by the sea for a wholesome kai "Koura" crayfish experience. About 20 mins drive north from Kaikoura along SH 1 Beautiful place by the sea for some locally sourced fresh caught and cooked crayfish. They also have some good fish and chips and mussels. We had the crayfish with garlic sauce and it was very fresh, flavorful and just done right! We had ordered two crayfish and two fish and chips. Generously added a third battered fish as we were three persons. Have plenty of seating in open benches by the sea. Plenty of parking space. On a windy day, would recommend huddling in the car as the crayfish looses taste quickly if it gets cold
