About Northcote Birkenhead Yacht Club
People passing through the ferry terminal, fisher folk on the wharf, the wonderful B Cafe, Aratika waka ama, boaties using the ramp, sailors, school children and their Waterwise activities, weddings, birthday parties and family reunions enjoying the fabulous club facilities, people visiting the playground and picnicking, kids swimming off the beach and the souls who just come to sit, relax and enjoy the view - all make up the locality and the environs in which the club sits.
NBYC is a non-profit organisation. It wouldn’t exist without the many supporters, volunteers and local businesses who generously give their time, talent and sponsorship.

β β β β β Love love loved this venue for our wedding!!! It was so perfect. The club rooms were so functional and easy to use and so great that we could find a venue so close to the CBD that would let us do whatever we wanted. The views were to die for and man, did that sunset deliver! Highly recommend, would be back in a heartbeat <3

β β β β β I hired the space for my 30th birthday celebration and it was an outstanding venue. The smaller room that opens out on to the large deck was a perfect entertaining space for a mid-size group (approx 40 people). The beautiful views across the harbour made an amazing backdrop to a great night. Everyone was raving about the venue all night!
We were highly impressed by the range of kitchen supplies and set up equipment that was available onsite - chairs, tables, glassware, sound system, visual screens, etc. The facilities were simple to use with clear instructions. Chris (the host/hirer) was wonderful with communication about the venue before the hireage and was great to deal with on the evening. He was clear, helpful and incredibly friendly.
I look forward to hosting another event in the space sometime soon but for now, can highly reccommend to any others who want a beautiful space on the shore for an event.

β β β β β Great venue, affordable and good value for money. Beautiful views and plenty of parking for a night time event. Well stocked kitchen and lots of tables and chairs that are available to use for your event.
Only downside to this venue is having to pack up and take all your rubbish away with you and put away all tables and chairs on the night of your event.

β β β β β We have hired this venue for my 50th birthday celebration 2 days ago. The hire cost is a little pricey as compared to a regular hall hire but it was worth every penny because of the superb view of the harbour bridge, CBD and the waters not to mention the modern facilities (2 heat pumps, lots of fridges, nice kitchen and good sound system). We were so lucky to have a good weather to enjoy the sunset at the large deck. My guests have nothing but praise with the awesome venue. My young adult guests said the view is instaworthy! Lots of parking especially on weekend nights. Highly recommended!

β β β β β Not a bad spot for s function. Kids can play at the park across the road. Ferry terminal is also across the road with boat ramp.

β β β β β We hosted our sons 1st Birthday Party here and the venue was perfect. The location is absolutely gorgeous overlooking Auckland harbour. A perfect place for a party or special celebration. Such an easy seamless process. Highly recommend!
