★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Historic stream that opens out into the sea at the northern end of Orewa Beach. Once described as a river, it was used to bring down timber logged in the Waiwera hills for transport by sea. Remnants of piles for a jetty can sometimes be seen in the stream bed. Today, the water flow is much reduced and the water murky. Nice bushland around, though. There's an short historic walk with information along the south bank that can be entered either side of the road bridge
