I was born in the United States and took piano lessons for a few years as a child, and again briefly while in university. After teaching primary school for several years, I married a Kiwi and moved to New Zealand. After a couple years of lessons with a classical teacher, I began lessons with the NZMSM in order to expand my style and ability. During that year, I qualified as a piano teacher and began to do so in 1996. The majority of my students are in the Turangi area, with a few in Taupo. I get pleasure from seeing students develop their playing, as well as seeing the enjoyment they get from music.
