What is the point of having a big police station when nobody is ever there and no one answers the phone? PLEASE Give somebody a job. Hire a receptionist.

Found the experience of dealing with a non sworn staff member difficult and patronising. Didn't listen my complaint seriously made assumptions and was hostile when corrected... won't bother again . Shame .

Terrible! Absolutely useless... was told I’d be contacted within five working days in regards to a case. ITS BEEN THREE MONTHS! Absolutely rubbish. This station is a waste of space as well as the degenerates that work there. ??

They were or maybe still are ruled by Vince Ranger. This guy is seriously out of touch with policing in modern NZ. His wife worked for St Johns Ambo fundraising. On a friend's diversion case Ranger was somehow able to get all diversion "fines" paid to his wife's charity. Go figure. He needs to retire.

Just can’t contact them. They don’t answer the door or the contact phone during the minimal hours they say they are there, yet there are several vehicles there. How are we surposed to contact them ?

Lost my car keys while in Whangamata township over the Christmas season. No incident report completed, no reference number issued, station only opened by accident by someone not in uniform. I guess I was a hassle. Thankful to Whangamata community website who saved the day.

Useless police service. I phoned Whangamata police station (probably got a call center in Wellington) about a car parked across footpath and partially the road causing children to move onto road to get past. Car seemingly abandoned. Rego. 6 month out of date. Gave the registration number to the muppet on the phone and was told it was of no interest to the police and I should ring the council. Well done Mr Plod!!!!
