Views on this walk are spectacular with views of Christchurch & the southern Alps then views down lyttelton harbour. So close to Christchurch and not too busy. We did a short walk but will be back to do much more. Did a walk down the Western side all the way down to the waterfall. Great walk with a loop back to the road. Amazing to see so many Wood Pigeons, a Hawk, and other birds so close to Christchurch. Crazy to see a beautiful deer on the walk too.

Awesome trail run around the loop. Possibly the highest ratio of native bush of any trail on Banks Peninsula.

Guaranteed to find some of the best views in Christchurch, if not NZ itself. Really close to the Sign of the Kiwi cafe and two lookout areas with historic significance that provide an amazing sight of both sides of the peninsula

We did this walk yesterday signs not very visible marking the different tracks as yesterday we walk a fill loop, needs signs along the tracks more and visible. I collapsed yesterday on walk as tired from walking around a track that said carpack and it wasn't so I ended up in ambulance going to hospital please place bigger clear visible signs it could have ended up worst for me. Was a beautiful walk .

Beautiful place to hike in spring. We did the 2 hour loop track to visit the Annes Falls. Parked our car at the 2nd car park ( when driving from christchurch) and started off through kirks track. In 10 minutes we diverted to Rhodes track which was a former road. After visiting the waterfall, we took the kirks track for our way back up. I prefer to do the loop this way, because rhodes track is very steep and difficult to climb back. Note: no toilets around
