β β β β β Our favourite reason to stop here are the real fruit ice creams. A good excuse half way home from Motueka if we drive this way. The convenience store side looks well organised and having a reasonable variety. Not worth the stop for a coffee..and its variable, or as a lunch destination.The thing that lets the place down is that the whole place has a shabby, unkempt look, especially the "cafe" side. There are some crooked pictures on the wall and a very few tacky suivineers amongst the indoor tables. Someone could make a killing here with good coffee, a few fresh savory cabinet items and a spruce up.

β β β β β this is a great country store. everything from wine groceries ice creams and fresh good value cakes pies filled rolls and toasted sandwiches and ordinary sandwiches with generous fillings. friendly helpful staff. plenty of parking.

β β β β β As a former cafΓ© owner, I can't criticize the coffee or the food as some seem able to do. Coffees, pies and sandwiches I have purchased here have always been fresh and tasty, and as far as convenience items go, you can't expect these country stores to compete with the supermarkets. Icecreams, coffee and pies don't by themselves provide sufficient income for flash looking tables, and if they wobble it could be that the floor is a little uneven. The building is old, but always clean. In my experience staff here have always been friendly and helpful, but as has been mentioned here we can't always be at the top of our game.
