Our Company
Wilson Parking started off as a family business with one carpark across the ditch in Perth, Australia in 1962. The subsequent years saw rapid growth and we opened our first carpark in New Zealand in 1985. Fast forward a few years to today and we have become a household name and are the largest parking provider in New Zealand and best of all we continue as a family-owned business.
Our aim is to give busy people more time in their day by providing premium parking locations that are close to where you need to be, whether that’s for work, a weekends sports stadium event, late night shopping with friends, visiting your favourite restaurants before catching a show at the theatre for date night and weekend brunch catch ups at cafΓ©s! That means you have that little extra ‘me time’ in your day to do whatever you want, belt out your favourite tunes to set you up for the day, practice that work presentation one more time for good luck, touch up your makeup, phone Mum back or simply scroll that menu to decide what to eat for dinner - all of course after you've parked and the car is turned off!

β β β β β So ridiculously expensive, $36 for less than 3 hours & it was not at all clear what the cost was, the display appeared to show $6/hr & the terms & conditions are too small to see from your car.

β β β β β Aside from being ridiculously expensive, they basically lie about their fees and the access is of such poor quality that their website moto about 'providing the best possible parking experience' sounds like a joke.
Firstly, they list prices for 30 minutes not per hour. A rather shady way to do this since once you pull up and see the real rates, you can't leave! Unless you can reverse all the way up the hill in the entrance lane... And going forward is a second issue that they charge for ay least half hour the minute you cross the gate. There is no option to change your mind and park on the street.
Third, their clock is off. I checked my car clock when entering since I had an appointment, and the time stamp on the ticket was a few minutes earlier. But when leaving, the time stamp matched the car clock. Wouldn't be a big issue except that those few minutes is what put me over two hours and they ripped me off by charging for extra half hour.
They deliberately write the rates in misleading way so you think there is a daily maximum. But that's only in some special cases, so the fee you may expect to apply to you, does not.
Lastly, at such exorbitant rates they could at least provide decent access. There is a set of stairs at the exit, but I had a stroller and the only way to get out was through traffic lanes. Both unsafe and inconvenient.
Seems like they have a monopoly on parking in downtown and can get away with deceiving, ripping off and endangering their clients.

β β β β β Never EVER park here. Eye wateringly expensive. And charged in 30 min blocks. There is NO reason why they canβt charge for actual time after the first block. Convenience does NOT outweigh cost. Park on the outskirts and take an Uber - way cheaper
