We were excited to try this new restaurant because we loved Italian food.
The calamari was salty that we needed to drink a lot of water after each bite.
We thought our mains would be better but that wasn't the case.
Fettuccine was alright but I felt it needed a bit more sauce, same sections were just plain pasta.
The scallops wasn't what we had in mind. It's sweet.
The waitress explained later that the wine used was sweet but wasn't adviced when we ordered. I would have expected some sort of discount or courtesy because we left the dish almost untouched but that didn't happen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Its rare in Auckland to leave a restaurant with a wide smile on your face, a spring in your step, and a vow to return as soon as possible.
It happened to us tonight at Paparazzi. The second we walked in we knew we were home.
The food tremendous, full of flavour, perfectly straightforward and authentic in nature.
That alone would be enough, but it is complemented by brilliant service from warm, friendly staff that was without fault. There was only two of us, but we could not decide on desserts, so we ordered 3 to share and did not regret it. The tiramasu was a highlight.
We really feel we have made not just friends, but family at Paparazzi tonight. If you get the chance, leap in with both feet. You will not be disappointed. 11/10

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic food, lovely friendly staff and prices that seem to be from about 5 years ago! My wife and I went here for dinner on a Friday night last week and we left feeling very full, very satisfied and vowing to return on a regular basis. Auckland has needed a great, cheap, centrally located Italian restaurant for some years and this fits the bill 100%. The food is traditional Italian, from great pasta and pizza to steaks and chicken mains, the prices are great (including the drinks) and the portion sizes are more than adequate.
Please give it a try, you won't regret it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very welcoming Italian restaurant with a nice atmosphere.
The first thing we try when visiting a new Italian restaurant is Pizza.
I must confess, the pizza was amazing and the dough was the best we had so far in Auckland (and we tried a lot of pizzas). Just like it should be and you get it in Italy.
Will try the other Italian traditional dishes and desserts next time we visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great service on a busy evening. The waitresses and manager all were super friendly and took great care of every table. Food at this restaurant is straightforward and delicious. Fresh pasta, tender meat, well-chosen flavours and nice wine. Definitely the best and most genuine Italian cuisine around. I'm so excited to go back and try more from their wonderful menu.
