★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I may be a bit biased as Papawai Marae is my Marae ❤.. But it is situated nearly at the end of Pah Rd about 2km from the picturesque town of Greytown, where it is nestled opposite a row of Kaumatua flats. ( built for our old people to live in)..
The Marae is open for all people to visit and for a fee it can be hired for meetings, weddings, reunions and much more.
Stay the night, the week and see for yourself how beautiful and tranquil it is on a cool, frosty morning. (But be sure you pack a warm jumper or two ?) Learn about the interesting and wonderfully colourful history of Papawai Marae. So if you are visiting in the Wairarapa, make a booking and enjoy the experience of Papawai Marae.
