★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This lady lacked communication, there was 2 of us my sister and I that signed for all communication to be forwarded to us, she wasn’t sending us both the same information and sort of played us off on each other.. not realising the other hadn’t been properly informed.. I live in Auckland my sister in Tauranga.. I paid separately for a picture to go on the back of headstone... very costly... Chris kept pushing my sister for payment to be signed off, yet didn’t say anything to me when speaking on the phone with her.. the costly picture was put on the stone 2 days before unveiling!!!! But the worst thing of all is their name engraved in small letters on the side... of course we were unaware of them advertising on headstones.. Chris says it’s not advertising and it’s common practice?? Whatever!! No way!! I would never agree to something like that!! We paid for every word that we chose to be on our stone!!! Not their name!! We found there overall approach extremely unprofessional and found they caused a lot more unwarranted stress, everything inclunding advertising on the head stone should have been mentioned prior to setting it up, as this was our fathers headstone and close to our hearts this isn’t okay. We strongly advise not using this company and we will be looking else where in the future. From the Murray family

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Greerton branch was very helpful and went to a lot of trouble to ensure i had what i needed. My experience with them as opposed to other stone masons i contacted, was accurate and immediate and despite their very busy schedule my modest requirements were not neglected.

From the moment we entered the showroom she made us feel welcome and at ease and while knowledgeable of all the products it really can down to us for the final decision. Nothing was too much trouble and the compassion that was shown throughout the process was subtle and sincere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I absolutely 100% recommend The team at Parkinson & Bouskill in Tauranga!!! they made this process so much easier for me to create a stone that suited me and unveil my Mother an absolute delight especially with me residing in Gisborne it was easy communication was efficient and clear and the ladies at the frontline amazing and showed so much empathy so genuine there arent enough words to express just how heartfelt and greatful i am to have dealt with them. Thank you Team Tauranga from the bottom of my heart. Mum looks beautiful thanks to you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is never an easy time when you lose a loved one. The whole experience can be quite daunting. To then be faced with having to choose a headstone for the cemetery, another hurdle to stagger over. We approached Chris at Parkinson & Bouskill Headstones at Greerton, Tauranga. Wow! They guided us through the maize of choices, understood that we wanted something elegant and understated. The result was superb. Thank you Chris and Parkinson & Bouskill, a job well done!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There aren't many options in Tauranga to get headstones done. Bay Memorials said they could do it but on the day both offices were shut. I'd travelled by charter plane to get the stone to Tauranga. I wanted my mums inscription etc added to my dad's headstone. If I'd known what I know now, I would have gone elsewhere in the BOP or further. Unfortunately I didn't get the result that I wanted. There was a lack of communication at their end. I felt like I was repeating myself throughout the whole process. I would have liked to have been consulted more on each stage particularly with regards to placement of my parents photos. Understandably with Covid 19 lockdown, I feel that a lot more effort & customer care should have been given. Not happy that I had to follow up & enquire why a chip on the headstone was not repaired only to be told (after paying for it & bringing it home) that it was deliberately not fixed. It would have been nice to have been told on the day of pick up. Now, I have to find a way to hide the chip before the unveiling in October. Thank god for Dr Google.
