About Parkland School

Our challenge as teachers is to provide Parkland School pupils with a wide range of exciting and challenging learning opportunities on a daily basis, across a wide range of curriculum areas and through a variety of social contexts.

Our vision statement expects our students to rise to meet those challenges. To do this they will be taught a range of strategies and skill appropriate to the challenges they will face.

Students will know what the challenges are and will be aware of their own ‘next steps’ in order to meet those challenges. “RISE” is also linked to the Parkland School ‘Inquiry Learning Model’.

I was at this school between 2004 - 2009 and it was great! My favourite teachers were Mrs Mudgeway and Mrs Hathaway, who I presume have left now. I've had some really good (and sometimes bad) experiences there, and made some good friends. The whole uniform thing now is a shame but I guess it's best to start them early. The principal Mr Barnett I feel influences the standards and attributes of PNBHS onto Parkland in some way, which is not hard to figure out why, seeing that his son was the head boy of PNBHS in 2014. Would I send my future child there? Compared to other schools in the area, yes.
