Petone Tennis Club - Petone
The Petone Tennis Club was one of the first to be established in the Wellington district and is still going strong. Its first recorded general meeting was in 1893. It has moved location from where it was originally sited (on Britannia St) and has a long and proud history.
Today it has three artifical turf courts, a cosy club house and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The club can be found next to the rugby club in the corner of North Park, and opposite Mitre 10 Mega.

β β β β β Was interested in joining a local club. Turned up here having never been a member at a club but wanting to be able to play and get more practice. I went inside and wasn't greeted, just stared at. This made it hard to figure out who to talk to or if the people staring at me actually worked there. I approached one of them (turns out they worked there) and they seemed very confused about why I was there. No information was offered about the club or joining process. I had to work very hard to drag any information out of them.
