About Photogear
Founded in 2005, Photogear has grown into one of New Zealand’s leading destinations for all creative needs. The range of products, services and advice continues to expand based on customers feedback and imagination.

Early online success and increasing demand for a wider range of quality products backed by a different customer experience focusing on what the customer wants to achieve, rather than what products they want to buy, led to the first retail store being opened in 2011.
The range quickly expanded based on customer feedback and now spans everything from filters and tripods to professional still and video cameras. (and everything in between)
To further support the vision of providing the very best customer experience Photogear opened a retail branch in Ponsonby early 2017 followed by relocation of the head office to Albany later the same year.

I've been contacted by Photogear Staff, and he explained why they didn't contact me, something related to my emails going to sales/wrong department, but I used the website form to reach them.
Anyway, making a long story short. He asked me to visit the store again and he accepts to change my product, also gave me a discount on my product (I had to pay 75 and I with discount paid 50).
Very satisfied, he was very kind and forthcoming, thanks photogear and thanks Josh!

20/December/2021 - Really disappointed with the customer service, if they have some. Tried to change what I bought and no answers to my claim. Simple, No one cares about you after selling. DO NOT RECOMMENDED, buy by your own risk.

In store experience is always cold and somehow you feel like you are troubling them by wanting to buy things.
No reply to emails.
The bottom line is they have a good range of products, but if you are expecting advice, support, or good communication. They are currently none of those things.
Will update this review if they get better in the future.

β β β β β Wow they have great prices and a good selection but the service is pretty bad. The website says order before 2pm dispatched that day. I ordered overnight on a Tuesday and the best they could manage was Monday, almost a week later. When I contacted them Wednesday afternoon he did say it would ship the next day, that didnβt happen. He said it would be overnight, that didnβt happen. Itβs Wednesday over a week after I ordered and my hands are empty. Now Iβm asking myself was it worth the money I saved???
