★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Be careful taking a small dog to this park. Large dogs running free attacked my dog! Needs to be sectioned off for large dogs/small dogs area!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great large space to run around, with some shade to relax in and river deep enough for a large dog to swim in. Not fully fenced, be mindful of the busy roads around. The river has some strong rapids with one or two rocky waterfalls, take extra care when choosing a swimming spot. Best access through car park on State Highway 1, next to Auckland Street Reserve toilets.
