★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An update of my negative experience at Pitstop(just a WOF):
Photo1: Pitstop blurringly diagnosed the power steering rack was leaking, so the mechanician had to spend time turning my car inside out and confirming to me no problems on that area. It cost quite a few hours on that recheck ($75/hour)
2 Photo 1 and 2 below include the estimated bill(WOF fee excluded) Pitstop gave me for a 1996 Toyota and the ultimate cost from Seeka (I lived next to it)---nearly $780.
3 Photo 4: My mechanician(Caroman) and Tony happened to know each other and he drove my car running into the front of Pitstop's workshop..I was so speechless when Tony told me there was a crack at the bump.
4 Photo 5 : VTNZ''s diagnosis for my car as usual, only my seat belt's not good and extra attention on my tyres. Nothing more.
Last, i don't like the way Pitstop ripped off customers as much as it can(wrong diagnosis and threats when I don't want that many parts to be fixed). I suggest read other customers' experience when you come in.
And Tony, I don't need any apologies and really hope Pitstop improve the service to genuinely help customers not rip them off. Old spare parts and dangerous car are 2 different concepts, Pitstop abusively used the power as a WOF inspector. Eventually either customers come again or bad reputation costs you more.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pit Stop Nelson fitted a Towbar to my car, eventually, although this was not their fault as there was a problem with the order numbers and the same wrong towbar was ordered twice. The Manager/Owner was very accommodating and helpful. I do however have a Health and Safety issue of a curb at the corner of their building that juts out and I tripped and fell over on. This resulted in a trip to hospital and two days off work so far. I can understand it being there but maybe it needs to be brightly coloured or something.
EDITED: Well wow Pit Stop Nelson, I wasn't expecting that. Your customer service is A+. I wanted you to be aware of the curb hazard and to do something about it, but I wasn't expecting the lovely gift bag of goodies. It wasn't required but thank you very much.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I won't take my truck anywhere else! I moved to Nelson 7 years ago and Pit Stop was the mechanic of choice for everyone I asked. Everytime I go in they are super friendly, they always call to confirm quotes before they get into it and then follow up with great work. I have referred tonnes of people here over the years with full confidence, locals and travelers alike. Everyone I know has had great experiences and loves their work. There are some negative reviews on here but I have my doubts as to their accuracy as I have been getting my truck worked on by theses guys for almost a decade. I love my truck and these guys take great care of it and their customers. Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a wof done here after issues with another garage. They explained everything to me and gave me honest advice and I would 100% come back here again. Needed our brakes replaced and they gave me a price and got it done asap.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was shocked at the bill to replace the indicator/light switch on my Mitsubishi Challenger $365!.unbeknownst to me they called in an outside auto electrician .If I had known that I would of taken the vehicle directly to an auto electrician! I have had work done by this garage before and was satisfied but not thus time.
