A must see in Rotorua! Really impressive sights, just be prepared for the smell! We got to see the pohutu geyser erupt, it was very cool!

Great experience! We're on a tight budget but we're so glad we paid the entrance fee for the Maori concert and the Geyser. The Kiwi's were in hiding?

Pohutukawa Geyser is a great spectacle. Try to see it without being ripped off by Te Punia. Iwhich seems to me to exist to fleece unsuspecting tourists. There are far better thermal parks like Waiotapu with better value than the extortionist price they charge to see the Geyser.

There's so much to see and do at Te Puia, but the Pohutu Geyser certainly steals the show! The geyser erupts naturally 1 to 3 times every hour and reaches highs of well over 30 m! When you first arrive, try to join up with one of the guided tours of the grounds. This short, worthwhile tour was led by Carla, a local Maori woman who grew up in the area and gave us some general information and a few hints/tips on how to make the best of our visit. You can spend hours just wandering leisurely around, see the various steam vents, bubbly mud pools, dormant geysers, a reconstructed Maori village, and even a kiwi bird (which can be seen in a dark enclosure lit only by infra-red light).

This was at Te Puia. We had a young Maori guide who showed us around. Besides the mud pools and the geyser, there is a kiwi enclosure and we got to see the kiwi feeding on bugs and worms which are put into the enclosure. There is a cultural show and a school which teaches traditional Maori stone carving, wood carving and weaving.

Attended indigenous night. Service was great hongi and private welcoming was excellent. Chinese staff members was very helpful. Performance was wonderful food was nice looks like they only have one show per night not like the other Maori villages where multiple shows and warriors finish one group and jump to the other. Interpretation was also well done
