★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you need to call PCC dont waste time speaking to Leeanne. She will either fob you off or give you incorrect information. Even if you ask to speak to someone else she will say that person is not in. Try to get one of the other CSO's as they will actually try to be of some use.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Watch out for the employees here who drive the council's cars. They slammed car doors on other private vehicles and pretended nothing happened.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ While not the people here at the retail side of the council- they have always been polite enough. The council themselves are bloody useless. Goodness, we pay enough in rates they could answer emails about dog registration, roading hazards/things about to effect the water supply to whole streets.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I needed a new 200l water tank to be better prepared for big one. Reading the website it seemed like a mission to pay at the PCC then head over to the depot in Prosser Street to collect. In the end it was easy enough and really not a hassle. All the staff involved are super friendly. Now I have peace of mind knowing we have a few more litres of water available in an emergency.

If I lived 10 minutes away in Wellington City, the consent fee for this minor work is $255.75. Porirua City Council charge $552! No other way to look at it - simply outrageous.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have been waiting over 1 month for $500 refund of hall hire bond.The websites of other councils rightly promise this in 10 days.I have phoned 3 times and been promised a response...nothing.Disgraceful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Its easy to complain about the council but we also need to give credit where its due. Had a water leak issue on Easter Friday which was their responsibility. Managed to get hold of someone easily and they sent staff out to investigate and provide a solution ??
