About Porritt Primary School
About Us
Porritt School is a decile 4 Contributing School, situated in the heart of Tamatea. This year the roll begins around 320 students and ends the year with approximately 400 students. There is a basic staff entitlement of 19 teachers.
We are lucky to have numerous classrooms, together with an assembly hall / gymnasium, music suite, resource room, along with the administration area, 3 adventure playgrounds, and a 25m school pool.
The school is fully fenced. Gates are closed during weekends and school holidays.
This year we are excited to see a number of projects get underway. Our front court area is soon to be replaced by a covered turf area. Our long term plan is to have a landscaped frontage to the school with a carved waharoa entranceway. Lot's of exciting things happening inside and outside our learning spaces - watch this space!
