โ โ โ โ โ First visit to Portside and was very impressed. Hadnโt made a booking but only had to wait 15mins for a table. The cocktail selection was extensive and well made. The staff and service was quick and efficient. The food and portions sizes were huge! Highly recommend this place.

โ โ โ โ โ Very overpriced for what you get, I only wanted a small snack so thought it might be easier to get a kids portion but sadly no they don't allow that, even though I'm still paying for the size of portion ordered! I was told they could do a half portion but the fish would only be pan fried, didn't offer any with batter, which was really odd, they ended up bringing me a normal portion anyway so had to pay $28 for 2 pieces of terrible fish and a small portion of ok fries, I could smell the fish before it was even brought to the table which is a sign how old it was. Ended up paying $78 for a chicken sandwich, a terrible fish main, kids meal and 3 lemon lime and bitters. Would not recommend this place at all.

โ โ โ โ โ Really delicious food at reasonable prices. Exceptionally well prepared calamari. Highly recommended restaurant. Their outdoor terrace also looks quite inviting on a warm sunny day.

โ โ โ โ โ Their signature Portside big breakfast is probably one of the best big breakfast I ever had. Every single element on there are perfectly cooked, the tomato has that natural acidity to balance the saltiness from the generously cut bacon, the mushrooms is in harmony with the bratwurst sausages and caramelised onions. The sourdough is perfectly baked in company with two free range eggs. This is a whole new level of the traditional big kiwi breakfast. Well done PortSide Bistro & Bar. I will certainly be back for more!

โ โ โ โ โ I think this has to be the best place for breakfast. The serving us was experienced and was single handedly serving 4 tables at once calmly.
The breakfast was enough for me and the quality was very good. Salmon and eggs were very tasty and hash-brown is homemade.
I loved it. Highly Recommended.
