Pot Sticker - Sydenham

Took at least 15 minutes for Doz Dumplings to arrive but worth the wait.

Unfortunately I need to make an urgent complaint concerning one employee . She works at the Pot sticker dumpling bar in The Colombo and I had awful experience with her. I walked in about an couple of weeks ago and at asked her if she had anything vegetarian and she told me to go to the central bus station where they didn't have anything vegetarian I found out coming there for nothing because I am vegan. Next time I came back at the Colombo on the vegan Tuesday at 4.30 pm and she told me she was sold out. Yesterday I had an day of and decided to go in the early afternoon when it was really crowded. She seemed to have an really difficult problem to understand me while my English is very clear So when she finally got my order I wanted to paid with visa which declined two times. I went away to transfer the money. And when I came back she said she had only made 4 dumplings because she ran out. the other portion of 6 dumplings were fried. While I had ordered 6 steamed dumplings for myself and 12 steamed for my husband. So I told her I was not going to pay for that and that I wanted what I had ordered. But she said she had run out. Which I could hardly believe because she was serving out everybody else.. I was very displeased with the service and many people had heard what was going on. So finally she said she was going to give me it for free and so she did gave me the 4 steamed dumplings for free and the other 6 fried ones. While I watched other people taking their orders. But when I made my order she made me pay the full price wile she knew she had run out of the dumplings. Worst of all when I was in the library that evening I got VERY SICK AND THREW UP ALL THE DUMPLINGS !! I went to the pool later and got also very sick and I almost fainted. The staff had to take me out aside for assistance. Today I am bit better but I cannot keep the food inside so I am quit for the next couple of days I have never been so sick in my whole life from anything I ate and I really hope it's no food poisoning. I am also concerned for other customers who may have been sick as well. Please make sure your staff has fresh foods in their fridge. It is an shame because I really like the dumplings. I had them an couple of months ago too and a blond girl helped me really well and I did not got sick. Now I have to post an awful comment like this on trip advisor and soon which I don't like. But I have to avoid from other people from getting sick too unfortunately. Kind regards,

Usually regular. Never again. Slow... forgot order. Then poured sauces over when specially asked not. The server has no idea about customer service. Last time ever. There are places with far better service... they will get my $$$ Not that they will care

I really l like their Beef and Beetroot dumpling. Very unique.

A good busy bustling vibe. A good selection of dumplings that are freshly made. The staff are very friendly, full of smiles and efficient. Staff making sure the orders are taken and delivered with help of an electric buzzer after making the order. A lengthy wait gives you time to find a seat in good court type style. You can actually watch the dumplings being made and cooked. Dumplings received were steamed and served with a nice vinegar, chives or spring onion and spicy chili. Tasted great and obviously fresh.

Busy place and slow for fried dumplings, would be nice if you had an app to allow online orders. Or take phone orders to speed up. Gluten free options would be appreciated!!

The wonton soup was awesome and generous too..

Best dumplings I've ever had! Shared the mixed dozen with my partner, and each on had more flavour than the last! Also very filling!
