★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a really great place to take a break, it takes cars and trucks. There's a great view of Kapiti Island with the waves on the rocky shore below. To the left of the rocky shore is Pukerua Bay beach which is made of small round pebbles. Caution it has a steep drop off but great water to swim in. There is a zig zag walkway off this Scenic point going down the side of the hill. Great to explore... Where does it go, find out yourself ???

Another great section of Wellington coastline. It has a great view of Kapiti island. Good swimming and Kaysking - sheltered in the right weather.
We have seen stingrays here and I've heard that Orca visit too.
Bring a picnic though as this place is super quiet. Nowhere to spend your $$s.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This view changes every day and every time I visit - gorgeous, moody, rough, majestic or simply stunning. Accessed only heading northbound on SH1 from Pukerua Bay towards Paekakariki. Be ready for the turn off as you descend after the a minute after the Pukearua Bay shops. The blues and greens on a sunny day are fantastic and the stormy grey and white crested waves make for a stunning view on any day!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A good safe scenic spot heading North on SH1 to take a rest, take in the views of Kapiti Island, enjoy the coffee that you bought at Z in Plimmerton, and dispose of your rubbish in the vandal proof bin. Thanks PDC.
