★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lots of history in the Kumara, full name Raumanuka. Maori found kai in abundance. First European settlers landed here.
Today it is popular for walking biking and just looking at the sea. Dog walkers chat and children search for semi precious stones.
Great round walk to Motueka Town ship or along the coastline to Port Motueka. Access to sand spit but dogs not allowed as nesting birds at southern end.
