Haul road bridges and tunnels are a feature of most mine sites and The Reinforced Earth Company offers solutions for abutment walls to support bridge structures, and for cut and cover concrete tunnels, each of which offer advantages depending on the particular situation.
TechSpan® tailored precast concrete arches can carry extreme loads, are durable, efficient to erect and can be delivered to remote locations throughout the world.
Reinforced Earth® abutment walls can be supplied with different face materials, each of which offers advantages in transportation and/or durability. Abutments can be designed as false abutments incorporating piers or true abutments where the load is carried directly by the Reinforced Earth® block and piers are not necessary.
Both systems can be erected in a short window of time with minimal or no disruption to mine operations and vehicle movements.
